Ignacio Lalanne, Artist & Accredited Mindfulness Teacher

Stress, worry and anxiety are struggles most of us have at some point in our lives. Whether you feel like the creative sort or not, my workshops are designed to use the techniques of mindfulness and meditation in a creative way to give you an increased sense of presence in your own life.

I’m also a professional artist with a degree in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins. You can explore more of my art practice on this site as well.

It is an immense privilege to help others improve their lives. I hope you will join me in cultivating your inner creativity, awareness and compassion using a warm, fun and approachable path to mindfulness and improved well-being.

Presence and awareness are the foundation of Mindfulness. It is a practice where you focus on the present moment, while calmly and without judgment acknowledge your feelings, thoughts and sensations in your body. It is a therapeutic technique, but also so much more than that. It can release stress and anxiety, and spark creativity, but more broadly it will give you a sense of presence and wellbeing in your life.

I approach it from both a traditional meditation angle, and a more free-flowing training of presence and awareness through creative endeavours. My courses are not just for those who consider themselves creative people. They are for all who want to be better prepared to meet the ups and downs of life. For all of us wanting to see the world with a new sense of wonder. Take a look below to learn more about mindfulness and see all the courses and workshops I offer.

What is essential is invisible to the eyes.

Antoine de Saint Exupéry words go right to the essence of my art. Exploring the binary oppositions within the self, especially the concepts of illusion and reality, superficiality and depth, and temporality and spirituality. In short, I’m interested in the core of our shared human condition. A variety of art traditions and styles inspire me. Icons, Cuzco school of art, Mughal art, and Tudor court paintings are the main resonants both in my art and my life.

I keep deconstructing, exploring and experimenting with techniques, subjects and styles. Mindfulness is an essential part of this, and equally, my art practice is essential to my mindfulness practice. Learn about my creative and mindfulness journey in my biography or explore my art in the gallery.
